Laminate in new builds
There is a lot of new building in Pomorie, and in new flats the floor is usually fresh screed. Laminate must not go down on a damp base – moisture from the screed makes it swell within weeks. That is why we check at the visit whether the subfloor is dry and level. If it is not, we tell you honestly when it can be fitted.
Houses and older homes
Houses and older flats often have an old floor – carpet, vinyl or worn laminate. We take it up (€4 per m²), check the base underneath and level it before fitting if needed.
Between the lake and the sea
Pomorie sits between the sea and a salt lake, and humidity here is higher. That is why we recommend a water-resistant laminate and careful fitting with an expansion gap along the walls, especially on ground floors.
