Light, honey or darker oak; 8, 10 or 12 mm – we fit laminate from any shop. If you are still choosing, we will tell you at the visit which class and thickness suit your home.

Acclimatisation
The laminate rests in the room for 24–48 hours, as manufacturers recommend. This stops it from swelling after fitting.

Fitting and clean-up
We lay the floor, fit the skirting and threshold strips, take away the waste and clean up after ourselves.

What is included in the price?
Prices are for labour. You buy the laminate, underlay and skirting separately. Removing the old floor, skirting and threshold strips are charged at the prices in the table. Travel, waste removal and cleaning up after fitting are included.
How soon can you fit the floor?
Usually 1–3 days after the home visit. That includes acclimatisation – the laminate needs to rest in the room for 24–48 hours before fitting.
Why does laminate need to rest before fitting?
Laminate expands and contracts as temperature and humidity change. That is why manufacturers recommend leaving it in the room where it will be laid for 24–48 hours.
Can laminate go over an old floor?
Over level, sound tiles or concrete – yes. Carpet, vinyl and old laminate have to come up, because the subfloor must be firm and level. We decide at the visit.
Is laminate suitable for a flat by the sea?
Yes, but it is best to choose a water-resistant laminate. Flats that stay closed over the winter need airing, because damp is a floor’s worst enemy.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes, the minimum order is €150. That way we can come for a single room or a hallway with no extra charges.
